That sounded like a fun race, thanks for keeping us updated. Sounds to me both cars are matched evenly but tell us how another rematch goes when the cars both have CAI.

eventhough by the post it looked like an even race and it was the closest race with an rsx-s i've had. in the back of my mind if i just adjusted where i was launching that day i would have won on some of the races where i didn't mess up. i just couldn't get traction where i was launching. it certainly wasn't the best time to be launching so high.
i'm looking for a re-match when i get back from nyc which will be in 2 weeks. hopefully i'll see some of you east coast owners when kleeftonsi and i go to atco on the 6th.

Yes, and if I lived in San Diego I would be waxing your GT-S like a veteran car wash pro.
HAHAHA!!!
On the 6th it doesn't look like the Celica guys are coming. The meet is on the 5th, so...I dunno if anyone is going to ATCO, it looks like it's going to be me versus all those dumbestics....
Oh sorry, domestics. :)

what tires do you have on you car TRD Liquid Silver? i have kumho 712s. i guesss there good for cornering but they really suck for launching, i just sit and spin...the stock yoko were way better for launching than these kumhos. now i have to rethink my launching stratagy, but i still want to launch at high rpms to get on the big cam quick. maybe you should feather the clutch even more...thats what im gonna have to do to be able to launch at 5k+ rpms.

i got the Kuhmo's 712 too. i know what you mean about they're great in the slalom's, but they can't launch for squat in a drag race. the thing is when i raced the other rsx-s i was launching at the same rpm's, but that day just suck a$$. it rained the night before and it never really truly dried eventhough it looked dry. i did autox the tires a month ago and yes they're way better than the yoko's in the slalom's, but the yoko's were better in straight line acceleration. i'd drop those baby's @4k and no wheelspin at all. now i have to slip it just for it not to spin at the same rpms.

i think with proper tires high 14's to low 15's stock. 14.8-15. i've raced 4 so far and this one is the closest race and it was due to my lack adjustment. even when i spun or hopped in 1st i would always pull ahead in 1st gear and he'd get it back in 2nd. if i just adjusted the launch he'd be by my door or rear wheel.
