basically what i had covered was the annoying belt tensioner squeaking again and they covered the condensation in my headlamps, now before i did anything... the dealer told me that it is covered with warranty and that I will not have to pay for anything, with the belt tensioner i know it is covered because of the powertrain warranty.. but im not sure about the head lights, i had confirmation from them that it will be covered by warranty so i dont understand.. any response or help from u guys would be greatly appreciated

What was your mileage on ur car and how old is ur Celi??? because the powertrain warranty is only covered within 36 months or with a mileage of 36,000 miles.

I've had similar problems with my belt tensioner, I thought it was going to be covered under my extra care gold package warranty. I took mine to my family known mechanic and have it fixed, I only payed half of the dealer price

36K covers things like electrical, headlights, lights, radio, etc.
The powertrain is only involved in what is inside the transmission, and what is inside the engine.
I'm not sure why the dealers won't cover the belt tensioner under the power train since it does have a significant effect on the engine, but I guess thats how it goes.

i have 38k on my car... the power train warranty is 60k for me, for the headlights... the dealer told me themselves that they will cover it and I will not have to pay a dime.. they confirmed it with me or else I wouldn't have done it because the condensation problem was no big deal to me..

Well, a lot of dealers are idiots and they dont know their ass from a hole in the wall. But if you are at 38K, you are out of the bumper-to-bumper warranty, which covers the headlights. The dealer might have told you they would cover it and then after they found out they were wrong, they try to pass the blame....

You can complain to the GM of the dealer and point exactly who told you it would be covered, raise hell at the dealer....

The TSB for the belt tensioner says that it is only covered by the 36/36000 bumper to bumper warranty.

Does anyone know what the cost is to have the powertrain warranty? I have 36k know, but I need to know how much it is.
Let me know.
Thanks,
Dan

?, you should still be covered under POWERTRAIN, but not bumper to bumper, is that what you meant?

Yeah I think so. Is that just cover the engine only as well the tranny too? What's not covered is the body wear and etc. I'm I right?
