Red, 86,000 miles, I can get it at an auction where I work for $6000. Car is clean, had one driver. One tire needs to be replaced because of a bubble and that rim is alittle bent. Otherwise, very clean and TOTALLY loaded. What do you think.

I think that sounds okay, but 86k is a ton of miles. Go to kbb.com and type all the stuff that it has in. good luck.

Been to kelly and Edmunds. The car should sell for $7700 as a trade-in, $8900 as a private sale, and $10,200 at a dealership. Looks like a go at $6000. Will have to change the timing though to be safe, right?:)

Actually it's a belt not a chain. I changed the Celi's timing belt at around 65K miles. If I'm not mistaken it can go to 90K without a problem. Since you have 4K miles to go, you might as well take care of it. Don't forget to do the water pump as well since you will take that whole area apart. If you do decide to get it, come check out www.celiweb.net It's a new site for the 6th gen Celicas.

The timing should go 90,000 miles without a problem. Toyota likes the 30,000 mile margin of safety. Don't forget the 5S-FE motor is non-interference. My old Corolla needed a new water pump at 190,000 miles. My camry after over 200,000 miles, still good. My parent's Corolla, at 90,000 miles water pump is still fine.

Thanks for the info, keep it coming. I guess I will have the timing belt and the water pump changed when I get the car:(
