How well do you think the Celica does on bad roads, either snowy or icy?
Just wondering.

Like anything to do with the handling side, it mostly depends on the driver. I Chicago's last big storm (last year) I passed a few SUV's in the ditch. The key is to drive within the car and your own limits.
I live in northern Vermont and we have about a foot of snow on the ground right now and some has melted. I live at the top of a steep hill and I have had no problems going up or down the hill. The car handles fine. I do have a REALLY good set of snow tires. The car will not do well without snow tires. The stock tires are not rated for the snow and simply will not be good enough.
Just remember the simple rule of winter driving.
DO EVERYTHING SLOW!!!
Accelerate slow, stop slowly(not abruptly), turn slowly...you get the picture.
