Dude, the DRLs are just high beam bulbs at half power, so you cant really change them, you might as well just disable them.
Enjoy your HIDs!

Disable them. I did it the first day I owned the car.
Here's the link on how to do it:

That method also disables the auto on light system. If you want to disable the DRL's but keep the auto lights, its more work but:

1. Find a high wattage (100W+) blue high beam bulb. If the DRLs run at half of the bulb's wattage instead of a specified wattage (nobody has confirmed this yet), that would make them 50W as the DRLs. They should be a bluish white, similar to super white headlights. The only negative to this is you can't leave your high beams on at night very long because they may damage their wiring or the headlight housing itself.
2. Find the bluest high beam bulbs possible. There's a chance the blue may be deep enough to tint the DRL's light output enough to make them bluish during the day. The only negative to this is your high beams will become almost useless at night (blue is the least visible color at night). Then again, you have HIDs which should light up the road enough so you never need the high beams. ;)

100W for high beams is not recommended?

nope, stay with stock wattage or you MAY fry the wiring harness to the bulbs.

damn, good job man, how'd you figure that out?
so basically it's just snipping the blue wire and attaching it to the redwire without cutting the red wire while taping off the other part of the blue wire?

I basically studied the wiring diagram for a LONG time and figured out what everything did. Plus some trial and error on my car. I hated my DRL's so bad that this was actually my second mod after lowering springs. Then yeah, its just basically cutting one wire and attaching it somewhere else. Just don't cut the red wire completely (like I did) because there's not much slack in it and it will be hard to reconnect. I did this mod back in Sept 2000 and I've never had any problems with it. This mod was never that popular because it was harder to do and people didn't want to go ripping into their wiring. Clone figured his mod out about 6 months later and everyone always liked his because it was easy. His is easy but you lose the automatic lights, which I don't like.
