how do I take it off to access the ignition wires? I took the gold screw off but it doesn't come off... any other screws to remove?

If you have the key turned on you can turn the steering wheel until you see there are 2 black screws on the front of that housing on either side of the steering wheel. They are on the face and not underneath where the gold one is. Only those three as I recall.
