me and my friend just installed an Injen CAI system in my celica gt and iam having a problem...
for about a week the car ran just fine and it ran perfectly no problems.....
then after a week problems started number one the check engine light wont cut off and the light was not there when i first installed it
second problem is everytime i put gas in my car i have a idle problem.....the car will not idle correctly for about 5 mins then when i get the car out to the road and push the motor for a seconded it clears up????
any suggestions about the problem thanks
Peace Out

recheck to see that all the hoses are in the right places, and that your MAF is on tight and sealed.
I've had my intake for almost a year now with no probs whatsoever.

the same thing happens to me..but mostly when I hit a stoplight..it putters for like a minute or two..the idle goes to almost nearly .1rpm...If Im not mistaken it did it before I got the intake too...

This is all caused probably because you didn't reset the ECU after installing the intake.

I disconnected the battery before turning the engine on after installing my CAI..the CEL never came on and still hasnt..Ive noticed a increase in acceleration..is it too late to reset my ECU?..the only problem Ive had was that low idling at times....

Had same problem, I put thicker 'O' ring on air sensor and reset ECU. Works so far. Also cleaned sensor with carb cleaner.

Thanx for all the help everyone....but i still have questions....
How do i reset the ESU   didnt know you had to reset the ESU after you install the intake:confused:
Another problem someone said change your idle...wont that bring down your gas mileage:D
And the last question...where is the O'ring located at? i might know what your talkin about but i need a description of where that might be at....thanx :D :D

The 'O' ring that I mentioned is the one that goes around the body near the top of the air sensor (MAF). I used that to seal up air that (I think) seeps through the opening. It sure seems to have fixed up the problem on mine. Also cleaned up idle.
I don't know about changing idle speed.
