Please help me ! I just got my 2002 Super Yellow Celica GTS-TRD, and I'm having a disagreement with the dealer.
They tell me the power door lock switch in the console is not lighted, at any time; however, there is a bulb in the switch !! Has anyone noticed whether that switch has a light in it or not ?

It should be light up. I've never noticed if it lights up during the day with the headlights off, but when the headlights are on, the switch definately illuminates.

There is one quick way that you could settle this dispute with your dealership. Go out on their lot and tell them to show you that the LED light on the lock switch does not illuminate on any of the other Celica's. When it lights up properly on the other Celica's, they will have no choice but to fix yours.

No. We started having yellow Celis in 2002 here in Canada. I actually got mine in Nov. '01.

I recently went to Florida, and was surprised to find that they don't sell yellow. We can't get white up here. Weird.

I went to the Dealer this am, and got them to show the 2003. The door lock switch didn't light up.
Either this car has the same prob. or they don't light it in Canada.

i wasnt aware of this bulb...I know the window switch has a light on it

If you look closely at the switch, there are two "nipples" on it. The one towards the front has a lens, and what I had assumed to be a light.

I never really paid attention before, but tonight I looked closely and the door lock switch doesn't even have a light. The driver power window has one though, and it lights up alright.
