I don't have an s2000 antenna, but I do have a short billet aluminum antenna mounted on the roof of my car. AM reception was null when I went with that setup. However there is a solution. Go to your local stereo shop and purchase an antenna strip which mounts in the interior of your car. Mine is a small box that mounts on my windshield just behind the rearview mirror. The wire runs down the driver's side pillar and to your stereo. Reception is perfect. I know, I listen to alot of sports radio on am. Hope that helps.
