have u guys seen the broshure 2000/2001 of the celica interior.. the gauges seems to fade from RED -> Orange.. looks awesome.. but they aren't really like that... may be its just the picture

Thanks, man. That's exactly what I'm NOT looking for. I want a picture of stock gauges so I can Photoshop them and try many different combinations of colors.

Also, they are all GT gauges or for Canadian cars with KPH, neither of which I have.

How about all blue gauges including the gas gauge, with red needles?

Here you go Bat, I was too tired to post this one last night. I can't really get the gas gauge to look any better without really messing up the look of the rest of the gauge. The LCD doesn't seem to photograph well.

Nice work Jesse;). How much work would it be to get our gauges to look like that, other than changing the leds, the amber color would have to be scraped off, eh.

Well Bat, I've actually been trying to think of a way to make that work. Since you have a GT, the whole modified redline thing doesn't come into play. For that on a GT-S, you'd have to get a hold of a UK-spec Celica 190 or TSport gauge panel.

First step would be to change all the LEDs to blue and sand off the amber coloring. Easy but creates two problems. First is that the redline will not show and second is that the needles will want to be blue. The needle problem (I think) can be solved by going with the Import Intelligence red glowing needle setup. The redline would be much tougher. I'm thinking there must be some way to put a small piece of electroluminescent material behind the redline portion of the tach to light it up.

Another possible idea is to somehow get white gauge lighting like on a Camaro or Corvette, and repaint the gauges from amber to blue, and go with the red Import Intelligence needles.

Another idea is to change the LED's behind the gas gauge to blue and the ones behind the dials to red and then get a set of reverse indiglos with the pattern you want.
