I've been on these boards for a while now and I haven't heard anything about upping the rev limiter on the GT. It's at like 6900 (right after redline). Has anyone found a way to get a few hundred more RPM? Thanks

The reason people with 02 rev limiters want to up the limiters is so they can land in lift when they shift. With a GT we start to lose lot of torque at 6,000rpm and a lot of hp at 6,500rpm. Shifting even higher wouldn't help. Well thats how i see it, maybe im wrong.

But shifting higher makes you start the next gear higher (more torque and horsepower in the powerband). Try both and yoou will see the difference ;)

It could be done. If you got an ECU that would allow you to do it, you could rev higher, but the question is whether the internals would hold up to the extra abuse.

i would like to do that to to my Corolla my redline is at 6200.
i'm thinking of doing a ECU swap from a GT.
