I would really recommend you let a body shop do it. If not you definitely need a Dremel or a Roto Zip to drill the hole thru the hood. Low speed drills will mess up your hood. The first thing is for you to find a spot for the pins themselves. Once installed but something on the tip of the pin that can mark the spot where it will hit the hood like white-out or something. Then start drilling with a high speed drill. Then put on the latch. Make sure to pre-drill the holes where the screws for the latch are going into. In know I'm probably making it seems easier than it actually is, but if you have any doubts at all then just take it to a body shop or a speed shop. We install it quiet a bit in our shop with the the CF hoods that we sell, so I know how it install it.

drill :) if you are not good at drilling I would advise against it :) but if you must insist on doing it. You want to mark off the underside about where the holes will be. Do those first, you have room for error there. Once you get that you will have to mark where its going to come through the top. Use a fiberglass bit to drill the holes. To make it easier on the hood I would start off with a smaller bit and go to a larger one progressively. Do not force anything into it, if you have an adjustable torque on your drill than set it low. You don't want to crack the cf. Any questions? It is pretty straight forward.

what he said :) Yeah a dremel or rota zip would be ideal, but if you do have a lower speed drill what I said about the different sized drill bits will work if thats all you have.

Easy part is putting the pins in the radiator support, marking the hood perfect seems hard, but all u need is a bit of nailpolish or whatever, put a tiny dab on top of the pins, low the hood so its resting on the pins and it should leave a little dab of paint or whatever on the bottom of the hood and now you know where to drill. Also, I used a regular drill with no splitting/chipping issues so im not sure what you guys are talking about
