Just got home from graveyard work and I'm light headed and I just got a notice from them (Toyota), I guess my brain is not working, I need to go to bed. Can someone translate this for me. Thanks

Thank you for contacting Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.
We apologize for the concern you are experiencing with your belt tensioner and we regret to hear of your dissatisfaction in this matter; Toyota dealerships are authorized to speak for Toyota and provide Toyota's position on warranty matters because they are trained and equipped by Toyota. Because you disagree with Toyota's position on a product - related issue and are within arbitration guidelines, we have forwarded documentation to you for arbitration by the National Center for Dispute Settlement (NCDS). The NCDS will render a decision within a maximum of 40 days once they have received the completed arbitration request from you; their decision is not binding on you if you are dissatisfied with it.

In addition, by sending you arbitration paperwork, we have notified our regional Toyota office of your concern, affording the regional office a final opportunity to review your concern prior to the arbitrator's decision.

Toyota values you as a customer and we appreciate the opportunity to further review your case.

Your email has been documented at our National Headquarters under file #200301160001. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

It means you have to go through arbitration to get your tensioner fixed. It'll take a maximum of Forty days for a decision to be determined in the matter.

Good luck.

Nice. That means that the regional people will probably call you soon and try to resolve the matter without arbitration. They do whatever they can to avoid black eyes like that.

You just hear most of the Cases.

I had 3 7th Gens, I abused the hell out of them and the only problem I has was the VVTLi rocker shaft bolt on my '02 GTS

People only voice things when they are going bad. And this website by no means represents the majority of Celica owners. It does represent the majority of ENTHUSIAST type owners on the other hand.

This is a Celica board, a good one at that. It has a lot of knowledgable people. When things go wrong, they will come here.

When was the last time you saw a post that read.

"NO PROBLEMS! LIFT WORKS GREAT! NO NOISE! ALL IS GOOD"

People don't post the mundain, but will post the extraordinary.

Yeh, the celica is a good car. Some small problems will be posted here but in general there are no problems with the car.
