weird day in court

Unfortunately i had a court day today for acouple of tickets i got back in 01. As i sat in the court room waiting for the prosecutor to call my name, i was hoping i would get the minimal charge for 2 speeding tickets. the time came. he called up my name and told me that i have 3 tickets pending:wtf: . some how 1 of the cops that gave me the ticket also "supposedly" gave me another ticket for "failing to obay a police officer" which i didn't recieve. I ended up paying for it even though i didn't get it.

my question is, how do u go about checking ur driving record?? i know 1 can request it from DMV but would it show the tickets that i have pending??

From my experience with tickets, you can go the Clerk of Courts in your area (it should be in some government building in your area) and they should be able to pull up just about anything that you have on your record.

You could ask to see the original ticket that you signed as having recieved. The cop should be bringing his ticket book to court with him and if there is no signature on the ticket, it will be thrown out.

we do not sign the ticket that we recieved. the cop just writes it up and hands it to u:ugh:

really? here in cali we sign the bottom of the ticket... i think it's for agreeing to show up to court on the date they give you... not really agreeing to any of the charges

i was thinking about the signature thing at court today. this way they can't provide a false ticket, which they did to me:fawk:

even tho it probably won't do anything, you should still complain about not recieving copy of that last ticket.

after i got pulled over

Cop: do u know what u did wrong?
Me: yeah. i turned into the wrong lane.
Cop: can i see ur license and registration
Me: sure officer. here u go

after 10 minutes

Cop: here u go son. be carefull next time
Me: i'll do that officer. hay officer, you gave me a ticket for tailgaiting but there was NO 1 in front of me at all.
Cop: i saw u tailgaiting the car infront of u.
Me: there was no 1 in front of me. how can u give me a ticket for something i didn't do?
::arguing for about 2 minutes::

after cop goes back to his car

Cop: here is a another ticket for arguing w/ me.
Me: are u kidding me? u gonna give me another ticket for speeding??
Cop: yeah.
Me: **** that. all of u are the same.
Cop: good day son.
Me: bite me

to my defence, this was a very bad day for me due to the fact that i had a final exam that day and i'v been studing all night long. so i was kinda cranky w/ out any sleep:rolleyes:

but my point is that i didn't get a ticket for "not obaying a police officer" (even though i should have gotten 1)
