Today for the first time i had to slam on the breaks. To my my amazment, my wheels locked up and i went sliding a couple of feet before i let up on the breaks and just went into another lane to avoid hitting a box that fell out the back of a car. I was pretty sure when i ordered the car i asked for ABS brakes. So iwent to my bank who im financed through and asked to look at the pre-order and actual delivery form. On the forms it shows on one where i asked for ABS and on the final delivery forn it says that i have it equipped. So i then take it to the dealer who tells me that i do not have ABS and that i might have trouble getting anything done. I told him that maybe the case in here in Germany, but I got my car through an American dealer and if anything, i was going to have the price of the ABS brakes deducted from my purchase price. What would you do?

Have them give you a car with ABS!!! Call Toyota and tell them..They'll rough up the dealer that screwed you and maby youll get a GT-S 6speed if you don't already have one!

if you paid for the abs and didn't get them they could be in big trouble.i would call toyota about that

couldn't you possibly sue them because you thought you had an important safety feature and the vehicle you got did not have that and that could've caused a big accident? I would think Toyota would definitely re-imburse you for that, I would fight to get the ABS though....

RedNOSceli: I have a 01 gt-s
Celica RZ: I was told that toyota would actually want to give me a new car than to put ABS on my existing car. If that was the case, i would take a new 01, but not a 02.
if i get money, ill solve not having abs with getting a big brake upgrade...better than than stock and no abs. what ya think!!

you never noticed that the ABS light wasn't lighting up briefly when you started the car? yeah, you got a legit beef with them. good luck. i don't know the laws over there but i think they'd have a tough time getting out of it.
