I'm sure some of you guys have thought about this before. Actually, I've thought about this a while ago but never thought it would take only 5 minutes to swap belts (thanks to the self-adjusting belt tensioner). This is something that can be easily done before and after a trackday or autox. It's probably worth a few ponies.

How much drag is there really when the compressor is idling? I don't see that making a difference unless you try to run the AC while racing. The difference in parasitic losses by bypassing that idling pulley should be negligible, and hardly worht the effort of swapping it.

yeah you're right removing 4lbs or so of rotational mas has no bearing whatsoever.
