purchased a spare engine for build-up

I just purchased a spare engine w/ 1600 mile on the odometer. I plan on having it around for back-up to compete wheel to wheel in the future.

Meanwhile.. out of curiousity, I have taken apart the valve cover, intake and exhaust manifold, unbolted the tranny case. I've taken the egngine to a friends shop and plan on flow-benching the head soon w/ and w/o the manifolds to find out the engines volumetric efficiency. From the looks of the engines intake port, it should out flow a comparable B-series head.

Thats interesting. I'd be interested in seeing how your project turns out. Are you planning on porting and polishing and all that? Good luck with motor!
