prob not going to be about to hook up to stock stero. u need a head unit w/ some sort of input option to get a good sound out of it. hoold on, im wrong about the stock unit. you can get one of those tape thingys that allow u to hook up a portable cd through your tape deck and attach the plug to the output port on your laptop. just make sure that the volume is turned down to a low setting what u start it up. you do'nt want noise blowing out your speakers.

FM modulator - Cheap, but ugly and sucky.
Tape adapter - Better sound and cheap, but ugly.
RCA input adapter from Blitzsafe - Plugs into the back of the stock stereo, plays thru the CD changer function. Works great, can't see it but more expensive.

why not hook it up through a mini-jack to rca? if you buy a good quality cable the sound should be perfect as long as the cable doesn't get to long (above 8meters+) and/or the cable isn't shielded well.
oh, you could hook up the cable to your amp (if you have one) via an y-switch.
hope that helps,
