Official Nor Cal Satuday Meet Thread!

Ok, it might be easier to keep track of here...I added this link into the old thread...

What: Saturday Meet for All Nor Cal People (All Norcal teams or groups welcome)

When: most likely in 2 weeks (17th)...Saturday day or night

Where: Undecided...some suggestions include Marin area, Berkeley, Milpitis, Walnut Creek/Concord area

Why: To meet up with other Nor Cal Celi owners..um, duh http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

I guess if we're going for the 17th I can go during the daytime...but have plans that evening. The next weekend 24th I'm totally free but then again, it's right after Thanksgiving so people probably have plans and/or will be out of town...

I'm probably going. Bringing a 2000 Carbon Blue GT-S. I suggest having the meet in front of Dave & Busters at the Great Mall in Milpitas since previous meets have been successful there.

I think we should do it at Japan Center parking garage in SF just for the hell of it. I prefer D&B @ the Great Mall. Wide parking lot, sunshine, and past Celica, Impreza, 3rd Gen Eclipse, and muscle car meets have been held there before.

I think D&B would be a good place too. Most people know how to get there and it's a really big parking lot. Not to mention, there's no lack of fun and games over there. What does everyone else think - Andy K.? Anna? CG? Ted? Everyone else?

Stefan, D&B is in Milpitas...from my house it takes about 1.5 or 2 hours to get there depending..

Anybody else that can officially go? I also work that day and I don't get off until 9pm, I might be able to get it off but not too sure. Okay here are the suggegstions for the places: D&B, J-Town Parking garage(Parking will bea a bitch for all of us to park together), Emeryville Holiday Inn(my suggestion, from there we can go wherever). I would prefer it to be at night but we'll see how it goes as far as what time it will be at. I still need to know if you guys want it during the afternoon or at night. I would prefer at night but then again I cant just schedule it for it cause its convenient for me, so lets see some suggestions.

What time do you have to go to work though? I'm assuming sometimes in the afternoon if you're getting off at 9:00pm. Should we meet a little early then? May be between 10-11:00am?

As for a place to meet, would you guys want to meet in San Ramon again like ATOM2 the last time? It's pretty much in the middle for people from both north and south bay ? Last time we met at Toyota parking lot, this time, though, we could meet at the big parking lot in front of Borders Books (abount 1/4 mile down the same road from Toyota lot). Just a suggestion.

Damn, looks like alot of people are interested in this meet. All Celicas in the Bay Area, represent your car. It doesn't matter if you have a GT or GTS, manual or auto, represent your ride!!! Yeah, this just dawned on me. Who wants to make this a CELICA meet? As in all generations of the Celica. Maybe we should post a link to this thread on Celica.net and nextcelica.net and whatever Celica sites there are. Everyone who has been posting and not posting because they don't know what time this event is - post the time that you're available for the 17th and I think that'd aid in finding the best time for everyone. Even other possible dates, who knows, we might find one day where EVERYONE is free http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smile.gif If not the 17th, we can always push it back for people who would want to take a day off of work for the meet.

Valley Fair definately wouldn't work. You're lucky to find parking for ONE car, let alone 15-120 Celicas!

If we meet at McCarthy Ranch, we might as well meet a tGreat Mall. It's only one exit away but there's more things to do there.

The rest of the malls I don't have any preference. But I think we want to hold the meet further north so that the way up North won't have such a long drive.
