I have to 12inch Subs ( Fosgate XLC) in a inclosed Box in the back of my celey.
The plastic from the back seats to the trunk vibrate. I know you can put the dynamat on the metal, can you put it on the plastic as well?
Thanks

Yes you can, but I would NOT recommend it! It will leave a nice gooey mess when removed.Try using some foam pieces first to put extra pressure on the panels.

I sprayed expanding foam between the plastic pieces and the body and it works well. Plus, the foam is only about $3.00 a can at Home Depot.

If you are talking about the hatch cover (felt covered plastic, that hangs from the hatch lid by strings), you should try to pad the contact areas of the plastic. The places where it meets the side panels and the hatch lid when it is closed.
To dampen out road noise I glued carpet padding on the underside of the hatch cover. It kills the noise and adds weight to the plastic so it doesn't bounce around over small bumps in the road.
You could use Dynamat but it wouldn't do what you are looking for. You need to pad the cover to keep it from hitting surrounding plastic panels.
