Since everything in atlanta stops on one inch of snow, and since we had about 8 of them, and since my car's in the shop for a dead alternator, I got around to messing with some pics I took to document the snow and what sub zero temps do to sexy cars like mine. I hope someone enjoys these, I sure as hell enjoyed the slippin' and slidin' in icy parking lots. :) And I hope noone minds that insanely long run-on sentence back there.

Also, since I remember Larry had electrical probs and toyota blamed it on his strut bar, I took the opportunity to attempt a wrap on mine to insulate it. ended up looking cool as hell (picture doesn't do justice). Hopefully the stuff i wrapped it in doesn't rip/burn. I'll find out when i get my car back i guess.

No! I hope it doesn't snow up here! I want to play with my 300ZX more. Damn rear wheel drive! Ahhhhhhhh, you Celica owners don't know how good it gets with FWD in the winter months in Boston!

I live in Vermont. My car looks like those last 2 car pics every day and like the first 2 pics at least 5 times so far.

I love when it snows only thing is that I am tired of the dam georgian's no disrespect meant but when it snows people around here forget how to drive they just flip out and do stupid things. I remeber during an Ice/Snow storm last year and friend and I went out I drove since I have driven in the snow in Buffalo a few times. I actually watched a woman think that she could make it down an iced over hill with her breaks on. sorry to say but she ended up spinning her new BMW 5 series off the road.

In my old ride, I'd lose control in the rain. That was scary stuff.

Can't imagine what driving in the snow is like. The snow that hit us the other day wasn't very thick.

Driving in snow is not hard, you just have to be smart. There is a simple rule. Do EVERYTHING slow. Hit the gas slow. Slow down slowly, never push your brke peddal hard( i.e. slam on the brakes) Leave plenty of room between yourself and the car in front of you, DON"T TAILGATE. This will give you enough time to stop. Any turn you take go very slowly because if you go too fast you will turn the wheels but your car will continue going straight. When going down hills downshift into a lower gear to keep your car going slow( this includes automatics). Go to some open parking lot and practice controling slides. Some people think us northerners go to parking lots jsut for fun but my parents took me so I would know what to do if I ever got into a slide by accident.

All that snow and nary a snow tire on your car...DUDE!

Just got myself a full set of Nokian Hakkapolliitta's...(better than Blizzaks), and we have not had a single flake of snow in over a month!

I have the same tires. Wh model do you have? The Q or the 1?

I have the Q. I like them so far.

And don't worry about them going unused. There is a BIG storm coming your way. The heavy stuff will jsut miss us in Vermont but Maine is supposed to get dumped on
