i was driving this morning when, i stop at the lights behind a really hot car! i knew was not a ferrrari, then my guess..can this be a Maserati? and guess what? yeap was a brand new Maseratti, the 2002 Spider...damn that car was hot! I was familiar with their previous models when i was living in Europe but never seen the new line...i thought they did not have any in the States....everybody was impressed! the one guy walking across the stree drop his book and stayed with his mouth wide open! and then the most amazing thing happen. A second guy passing by, kept stariing and walking at same time, when he crash on a pole! my girlfriend and i stop the car and kept laughing at the fool. it wa so funny! damn that's a car to drive. 390 hp from a V8... I found some 0 - 60 data from a website.. was just below 5sec to 60mph..Price between 73- 80000 or so..depending on the options.

the interior isnt that nice...i have spent time at Ferrari of Orlando (which is a masser dealer as well) and they really arent up to a 80,000 interior . Its a poor mans ferrari, if 80,000 could be a poor man. The engine is all that though... Great sound, should be considering it was build by Ferarri for Masser. Transmission in F1 spec needs work as well as the suspension (adaptive ride) like the new Mercedes and the Audi RS6

The back end is just a mess though, not my style...very new age italian. front looks nice..

Maseratis really haven't done much for me. I have heard stories that those cars spend more times in the shop then on the road.

Last Summer, I am seeing this yellow convertible in my neighborhood(I know cars) and I didn't know what it was at first.

This retired couple has two of them living in a small modest house.
They have a two car garage and put one of their cars sideways in the back of the garage.

Remember, I am here in the rust belt and they think Toyota is exotic.
