only tip i ahve is to paint the hood the color of your car...or maybe just paint liek the 2 edge sections or the middle section depending where the crack is...
and i have a few questions.
Vis quality is normally pretty good for hoods right?
How many different hoods are there from VIS? 2 right?
Does the OEM style come with a hood scoop? if yes can it be removed, or can you buy the hood with a raised hood scoop?
i plan on buying a carbon fiber hoos sometime next week.
thank you

1.) umm not sure about quality any more. I thought they are pretty good.
2.) 2 for the celi.
3.) not sure, mine came with the OEM style scoop, and its removable, but I think they started selling ones with the raised scoop.

If you look at the GB going on right now for OETuning hoods, you'll notice BIG differences between VIS hoods and other hoods
VIS has LOTS of great advertising, but if you read around the boards, its nothing but crap
OETuning has put pride in their hood and i can assure you, along with the few people who have them now (congster, and i forget) and the 13 people who will have them soon, it will put VIS to shame

I know the OETuning is better, buy it cost a lot more!

Yup, if you compare all the pictures of the Vis and OE, the weaves are much more "crisp" and the underside skeleton looks a 1000% more rigid and clean cut looking. My motto and hopefully others is "Quality over Quantity". I found this out the hard way by getting a custom piped universal exhaust at first, but now have a TRD. If you really want something, save up money and sacrifice time to get the better quality and brand one later on. You'll never have problems and won't ever regret it. And I'm pretty sure this goes for everything else, ie hoods, wheels, tires....
