I was playing with one of the multi Fuses. It looks like a regular fuse, but it controls up to 4 different circuits. The one I was playing with controls the ABS, Gauges, Warning Beep and the Fan Relay..Anyway, I wanted to disable my ABS, but If I pulled that fuse out, I lost all those circuits so I just bent the little tab on the fuse that goes to the ABS..Well that was fine, my abs light came on, and I tested..Of course the wheels lock cause the ABS has been disabled..I go to bend the tab back to reinsert the fuse and it breaks off..Oh well, ill just go pick one up at the parts store..Nobody had this kind of fuse..Autozone, checker, Napa, BAP, ETC..I even checked electronic stores.. I went to "Littlefuse.com" who makes most fuses for cars, but they didn't have them listed. I finally called the dealer, they didn't have a clue..I had to drive there on my lunch break..I showed them the fuse, they found a tech that knew what he was talking about..they said that could order me one, thats cool, I broke it, no prob..Here's the kicker..one 5amp fuse......$17!!! HOW DO YOU PEOPLE SLEEP AT NIGHT!! lol, anyway, I thought that was kinda funny cause I knew it would be outragous..Anyway, thats my rant..

Oh, does anyone know what fuses im talking about and where I can get one cheaper for next time?

No way man, your dealership is ripping you off bigtime!!

While removing an installation of an alarm system, I accidentally blew the dome light fuse...which also happens to be the 4 prong one located on the passenger side fuse panel. It was the 5amp one like you describe...identicle.

I went to my dealership right away instead of shopping around...since I figured they were specialty fuses. The tech at Toyota knew what I was talking about right away...he ordered it, 2 days later I had it for the realistic price of $3.25 CAN which in US would be a hair over $2.

In the end, your dealership just put a $15 mark up on a damn fuse...go back there and give them a piece of your mind man!!

I agree!!~u've been ripped off ~it costs around $3~$4 CDN only
US$17 could almost buy ALL fuses u need

I've done key-off-Cig-lighter-on mod, cuz I need to leave my cell charging in da car sometimes

I also have my MD car adaptor connected to the cig lighter power(12V)

and guess wat !!! I blew my Rear Defroger fuse located at 41b or 10b which the 4 prong 5.0amp one simply bcuz I turn on the rear window defroger while listening to my MD and charging my cell

this is not my first time blew it cuz I keep forgetting NOT to turn 'em on at the same time

for peep with similar mod like mine, be careful ~
