IMO short shifter is useless..

If you translate the C-one page it will tell you the gains. The concern is that they run on higher octane gas. On the east Coast you can get up to 94 (which is still probably not enough) but on the West Coast it is pretty much worthless.

IMO, a shortshifter is not only better aesthetically, but functionally... it does allow you to shift quicker, without having to move your arm faster...

I'm able to get 95 octane gas from my local gas station!!!

so its just a chip that has a remapped ecu?>?>??

I all ready translated their page, but the translation doesn't explain much!...

Shorthifter: yes the lever moves less, but at higher effort. So do you want a longer throw that is easy and you can make very quickly or a shorter throw that requires more effort and makes gear selection harder? Both shift times will be equal, and you will lose functionality and ease of use with the short shifter. This one is a no-brainer to me...

Frankly if you know how to speed shift the throw of the shifter isn't really affecting anything anyhow. All the time is in the Clutch.

Sorry, it was already...

the ECU is useless unless u get a shop to tune the ECU towards the specs of ur car, don't waste ur $

I can shift my friend's smooth stock shifter as fast as I can shift my notchier TRD SS. I don't really see any real reason for it, unless you want a notchier feel.
