Of course US get's the rebadged and Detuned Acura TSX which features a 2.4-liter DOHC, i-VTEC engine that generates 200 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 166 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm.
supposedly the type-s due to come out probably in a year or two (much like how the tl type-s came out a year or so after the intro of the new tl) will boast 240hp for the US market.
now for the pix

I thought it was the MX6 for a second... :wtf:
Not bad for a sedan, but I honestly dislike the gauges..they're really cheap looking.

Bad ass...I always loved the Accord Type R's and Euro-R's...look at the redline on that thing.

Looks like a Mazda 6 from the front.

Other than the gauges :ugh: I like it! And doesn't it use the same engine as the JDM Integra Type-R with 220hp?

Disappointed by the way they implemented the gauges on this car after what they've done for the RSX.
I'd say it looks more like the bastard child of a Mazda 6 and a RSX.
why would buy it? i mean its on a different category than a celica...i guess for somebody with a family that wants to have some fun on a twisties when he is alone in the car. Accords are not for me...after having Toyotas for 5 years next car will be either Mercedes or BMW...

Honda might bring that model to the US as an Acura TSX. Most likely without the recaro seats.

not might.. They are, but we won't be seeing the EuroR here. We are getting a 2.4L 160hp/165tq engine in ours.

in the front shot, it kinda reminds me of an lancer evolution VI... maybe its just the grille and how the lights slant down like that.

I like the front.
The tail makes it look like a 97 Camry ("bar" taillights? the wheels do too)
The tail looks like it got cut off a bit abruptly though... Like a vertical slab...

The TSX is NOT the EURO Accord R...it is the Euro Accord Type-S....... the euro R has a 2.0L making 220bhp...the tsx is getting the 2.4L in the type-S but with 20 fewer ponies the styling in the back is 97 camryish...and the front looks like the mazda 6..but i prefer the mazda 6 front more.

The TSX is supposedly targeting the IS, the Audi A4 (AWD), and the BMW 3 series and the Merc C, but one thing that Acura forgot: REAR-WHEEL DRIVE. Hardly the sports sedan that the others are...

also forgot 6cylinder engine.....granted its a nice engine..but seems kinda stressed for a 166lb ft torque to pull around a 3200lb sedan
