3g's? You are opening a big can of worm. If you gonna do it right, prepare to spend more than twice that.

I'm looking to do the same thing by getting a custom turbo and I agree, it will definitely be more than 3g's. However, Im still waiting for MVA to respond to my inquiry.:)

hey mr pepsiman, do some home work and find out what parts cost. And, find out what your friend has in mind for 3000.00.... so far, you may know that it is a t-3 turbo..new??.. what trim? what kind of bearings.? how is the manifold going to be built? mild steel? or stainnless? how about the Intercooller piping, is it steel or aluminum, and how big is the inter cooler core? Is ther even an intercooler in mind?but most important how do you like your friends set up and how does his honda run under boost? Is it holding up ? how much boost is he running.? If you like his , then consider it. but know that our motors are trickier to boost than a honda. For fuel manange ment, the best solution has been found with splet-seconds FTC-1 unit- it cost just under 600.00/. ask your friend how he plans to get fuel to the motor during boost ,It might be hrder than he expects. Why dont you find out exactly what you frind is offering for 3000.00 , besides just t3 turbo, then post that and see what people think about the offer.

well if you guys really think about it you could make a manifold, but a t3/t4 (whatever trim) and have all the custom piping as well as a small intercooler all for well under 3000...

Getting it to run right is the problem. You need fuel work, ECU work, and tons of misc little ****.. :)

Just remember without changing the injectors, fuel systems, and add Engine management system you should not push your car to high RPM. You will lean out at high RPM without more fuel and making the ECU to inject more fuel.
