MP3 playback problem..

I have an ALpine 7987 and I made a data disc with mp3's. It is saying there is a reading error. I am trying another cd with no folders. I am using Prassimo software. COuld that be the problem? What software works the best?

Umm, I don't know much about your Prassimo software. I use Roxio Easy CD 5.0. When I make my mp3 CD's, I go the the "make mp3 CD" function. I believe there is a different reading format between a data CD and an mp3 CD. I do know that the mp3 CD has a file at the begining that tells the player all the songs on the track.

Look on your software and see if there is something that says to make an mp3 CD.
