i have kumho ectas supras z-rated tires in 205/50/16 trim. how long will these last me? I heard z-rated wears out much fast due to softer compound. If this is true, wouldn't the z-rated tires perform poorly on wet conditions? what are some benefits of having z-rated tires over w-rated. thanks in advance.

Actually, W-rated tires are better than Z-rated.

Yes, higher speed ratings tend to have softer tread compounds that wear faster. Most folks that think they will be going 150+ mph also think that they might want to corner better.
I got 1.5 years and about 20,000 miles out of mine, but that includes 40-50 autocross runs (maybe more), and I have an alignment that eats front tires (toe out).
As for wet conditions, even when worn out the Kumho's were still doing pretty well.
