I was thinking about the smoked plexiglass fuel lid that TRD makes and I got to thinking you know that big hole in the front bumpers of our cars, wouldn't it be cool to have a smoked plexiglass lense that fit right into that hole?? Maybe some strobes made to fit behind the lense?? Wouldn't that be cool or would that be gay?? I was thinking about trying this for all you would need to make a lense like this would be a tape measure, some paper to write measurements down on, the smoked plexiglass, a punch or scribe of some sort, maybe a jig saw could be cut with shears I would imagine and then a dremel or a die grinder to smooth out the edges and curves!! If you know what I am talking bout you could easily make this in a hour or so and it would fit nicely in that big hole up front, question is what would it look like!! What do u all think is it worth trying?? Where would one get the plexiglass from??

umMM.. that hole in the front is functional, it allows for air to come in and cool the radiator and engine. If you were to block this hole up, I would imagine you would run into overheating problems..

Why dont you just put on a grill?

NO NO NO I mean that big hole in the front where your tag is supposed to mount man LOL not the whole freaking front end LOL!! See all Celicas at least all of them I have seen have a place where a tag bracket can be mounted on the front of the car and mine doesn't have a tag there so I gotz this big hole up there and you can see the foam behind it, it looks hideous so I was trying to come up with ways to hide that thing!! Look where your tag is on your car now if you were to take that off you would see what I was talking about!! Plus I dont like the tags in the ront thing either that why I want to get rid of it!! Well this is true for the action pack and stock bumpers anyway, a lot of aftermarket bumpers filled it in!!

No, he is talking about the little hole where the toyota emblem is in the front.
I think it might look cool, may be difficult to pull off though....
only one way to find out....

Actually I was talking about the action package bumper but now that you mention it I might try what silver bullet said as well! Yes that damn big ass hole in the front of the action package bumper annoys the hell out of me, it makes the car look cheap IMO!! What can u do about it? I went to a body shop about filling it in but hell they wanted $350 I know it would be donw right but damn $350 just to cover a small hole, hell I could buy an aftermarket front bumper for that and paint it!! I am lost any suggestions!

Sounds like a good idea. Try www.selectproducts.com for the plexi in any color or thickness you want. You can also try a decent car stereo shop, they should be able to get it for you.

Don't be ****ing cheap. Urethane is extremely hard to work with. It takes alot of work to fill that hole. If a body shop is willing to do all that work and repaint the whole damn thing for $350, that's a bargain! I not only have that hole filled on my car, I have the whole area filled so there is no recess in the bumper. Plus I had them fill the holes for the corner markers.

yeah i think 350 is very cheap for that kinda work. i think whatever else you do will look lame and cheap. the only way to not look lame and cheap is to put some kinda plate on it.

Hmmm cool maybe I will get it filled then man I just didn't plan on spending like $6000 just to mod the exterior of this car, I got a hot rod to worry about besides the Celica!! I am not cheap trust me man, I got over $50K in just one car and I have 3 so, but I do have to live also and being in school the money is kinda tight actually real tight if u know what I mean!! I don't make major $$$$ here!! Just work my ass off!!
