VVTL-i questions

Hey,
I ordered a Celica gt-s a couple days ago and I should be getting it in a few months, but I was curious about a few things reguarding the vvtl-i(aka newbie questions ;). When people say they can feel when the vvtl-i kicks in, what do they feel? Also can you actually hear something different? Thanks!
