I no longer like my car because I made the mistake of buying an automatic so I plan on getting a new car. I would like it to be under $5k, be reliable for every day driving about 600 miles a week, and be good for modifying. The cars I am thinking about are a Civic hatch, CRX, DSM, and a 240SX. I'm also open for suggestions. I like the Hondas for their easiness and cheapness in making power. I love the looks of the CRX but it might be too small for a child which I'll be having soon. There is a 4 seat conversion kit but I've never seen it done and it looks like it would be really cramped. The Civic hatch is only a little heavier and signifigantly biggre than the CRX but it doesn't do it the same for me and I'm pretty sure I would always wish I got a CRX if I bought a hatch. The DSM is nice and easy to make power from but they have reliability issues especially in a how mileage one that would be in my price range and I'm not sure it worth the risks. A 240SX has rwd and I love that but that seems like it would be harder and more expensive and I dont really know much about them but the Silvia is a beutiful car and a rwd turbo would probally be fun as **** if I do the conversion. to . I've thought about a Corolla GT-S and Celica Alltrac but those are pretty rare and the Alltrac is supposed to be really hard to work on and I think I would be better off with a DSM. The reason I think about those is I love Toyotas but the MR-2 is a 2 seater and Supras are too expensive and I dont like the older ones. I'm not asking anyone to amke my decision for me I would just like to hear some people ideas. Thank you.
