does anyone have experience with longevity of cars running NOS

considering pull 50 shot NOS, with installation done correctly, will my car last just as long as those without forced induction?

And used properly..then I would say yes, it would last just fine...

the most important factor, besides proper installation, is the frequency in which you use it. unless you do some sort of engine build-up, in the long run, you probably will see some wear. remember, a GT engine really isn't built for 180+ hp.

common sense. stick a supercharger on a GT engine to give it 200 hp and see how long those stock internals last

Where did you get the basis of your common sense from? I don't know any engine with around 140hp that have any trouble making it to 200hp with a problem.

FYI, some Miatas with ~140 hp handles more than 350hp safely without any internal upgrades.

I think the 1zz is stronger than people give it credit for. It may not be no 3sgte, but I bet its stronger than most people realize!!

Yes I would beg to argue that the 1zz is just as strong and may actually prove to be stronger than the 2zz!!!! And besides if the 1zz didn't have good parts to begin with then your stroker motors for the 2zz would be crap since it is just an array of 1zz parts mixed with 2zz parts working together!! Trust me the 1zz is strong!!! A lot stronger than you might think now if I was going to get say a custom turbo and run 18 psi of boost of stock internals then NO it would probably not last a long time and if anybody were to try this with stock internals then they are an idiot!! The 1zz is a better motor than given credit for and I am sure more of you will omce to this conclusion when more of the 1zz people are running more forced induction kits and pushing the envelopes of 10 psi of boost using stock internals!! Later we could arguye about this for a long time!!

Oh and if you think that 10psi is notpossible in a 1zz then um PM cool2mike!! Plus there are a hell of a lot of MR2 people that have ran safely with 10 psi on stock internals so u do the research!! Nos however really depends on the user, how it was installed and fuel delivery!!!
