I Hate Ricer Punks

K..first off..the car didn't look to shabby...

it was a newer eclipse w/ ONLY tint, however....and a car club decal on his rear window. The club is pretty known in the area, they have some HOT cars. I was really surprised to see they let this guy in, being that his car ONLY HAD THE TINT :)

Anywho..I'm stuck in traffic, w/ this a-hole behind me for 50 mins..trying to ride my bumper..get in the next lane(3 lanes each way) to try and get in front of me....only to slam on his brakes because the other lanes were slower.......

I get road rage..I wanted to park it, walk back and put my hand through his side window.

The worst part is, those new eclipse's aren't much to look at. I think they resemble a dodge stratus. Just goes to show you a Jersey car club will take just about anything, right nate? j/p

i get like that towards the old people here in daytona. they drive side by side 10mph under the speed limit in a 2 lane road. makes you want to pass on the wrong side of the road... i usually lay on the horn until they get the idea.

Drivers whose sole purpose in life is to pull in front of me - regardless of what speed I'm going, whether or not there's a safe amount of room, and even if passing me is fruitless in the grand scheme of things (like in a traffic jam) - get boxxed out.
Heck, most people get boxxed out until I see a turn signal. Then it's, "Come on over."

They're easy to spot because they're usually doing something like being 5 ft away from whoever they're following, gassing it in the "lane ends, merge left" lane instead of merging when there's room, changing lanes erractically and recklessly, or hopping into lanes that end right after a light just because they'll have a shot at beating me off the light.

-It's usually not ricer punks, though...it's mostly SUV's and bargain-priced newer cars-

That's because both the cars are based off the same platform and share quite a few parts. The Stratus R/T and the Eclipse GT are the same cars, just with different skins (think Camaro and Firebird).

i dont really get bugged when i am in my celi and people do stupid things but when i am working and driving a bigger truck and people dont consider the slowing and speeding up differences and handling then they get to me when they are stupid sometimes you just wanna run em over

:rofl: Yep. My biggest pet peeve on the road is those who see the MERGE LEFT or RIGHT 2 miles ahead of the merge, and literally stomp it until the very last second just so they can almost run everyone off the road to save a minute of driving time.

I see someone coming up fast in the rear view (after I've long since merged myself), I make it a duty of principle to make sure he doesn't merge right in front of me, assuming the timing is just right so that I'm one of the last 2-3 cars he tries to pass. If there's any chance of putting other drivers at risk I leave it alone, but I've made a few punks think twice by having them almost slam into a wall or run into a ditch because they think they can own the road without regard for others. I guess techincally you could say that makes me as dangerous as the jerks. I guess instead of a regular vigilante (Batman, etc..), I'm like a road vigilante or something :D Just drive with respect, damnit, is it too much to ask??
