I dunno about just the left nut dude... even with the 10% off you have to give BOTH berries AND the twig. :)
Still, that's the price you pay for the best product available. I'm sure there will be cheaper alternatives soon... but the best will always command a premium price.

But that's what you pay for quality and real CF. Worth every penny when you really think about it.

$362.93 + $74.25 + $44.55 + $90.00
I would get it all minus the passanger side engine bay cover and the Front engine bay cover
so this is a total of: 571.73
That's a VERY decent price.....
Ya'll just think its a lot because of the numbe..you're gettig 6 pieces of carefully planned SUPER good carbonfiber....its a lot of CF and that is a very decent price.

The price for these pieces is high because of the manufacturing process IPT chose to use. It's not likely to change even if a cheaper product comes to market -- consider IPT's engine covers to be the top of the line product. You could get something similar in looks, from someone using a more affordable production method (wet-laminate), but these pieces are manufactured (vacuum molded in an autoclave, and using a thermo-set resin finish) to be unmatched in quality, durability, and fitment.
You can be confident that these pieces, once installed in your engine bay, will remain in the condition they were installed for years to come. None of the fading, yellowing, or cracking that ppl typically experience with some CF hoods.
Granted that this kind of product is only going to appeal to a particular buyer who's willing to spare no expense to have the best product available, rather than spend less on something that has the look, but not quite the quality or durability.
True Mold engine pieces are designed to be the best that you can buy.
A similar association would be between an authentic FRP Veilside kit and a fibreglass copy. Just because the copy kit is much more affordable, it doesn't make the original Veilside kit a rip-off. They may look the same, but Veilside uses a more durable, flexible, and lighter composite made to fit perfectly. Both do the same job, but one is clearly superior. Some ppl insist on the real deal and are willing to pay for it, while others feel that the copy is more than enough.
Every person has their own ideas as to what's important to them when shopping for a product. If having the best in engine covers is what's important to you, then this is what you're looking for. :D

Yep, had to do a little "trimming" of the fenderwell plastic to get it in. :) If you're talking about the ECU tube, the 2nd-gen Injen CAI (which I have) had a different setup which didn't require extending the cooling tube.

Alot of ppl have been asking me about IPT sponsorships and they've told me the same thing, that they have two Celicas sponsored and they don't plan on taking any more for this particular model at this time (altho they are looking to sponsor other high profile cars from other makes/models)... but IPT prolly made a split second decision in celica70's case to get the exposure his car is going to have.
In this case, I don't see what harm it can do to fill out a sponsorship inquiry anyway at http://iptmotorsports.com -- you never know what might catch their eye and sway them to sponsor yet ANOTHER car... even if they say they're not going to right now.

I tried that already, that inquiry thing didnt work. those 3 celica's that are sponsored already put atleast 15000. Maybe I'll dump the same amount of money then maybe i can get sponsored:D. Its ok though, i'm working with 2 company's rightnow and there's going to be some "changes" on the car for the next few months.
Unless that GP for engine CF pieces goes thru, I might jump on that one:thumbup:

another company might make the same thing, not "true mold" though. Those things are just cosmetic stuff, its not really goign to make a difference in weight reduction either. The company is estimating $300 for the engine pieces w/o valve cover. True mold or not, its not going to be a big difference in points at cars shows.
