I'll consider this a n00b question for myself, here goes:

I was taking off my TRD exhaust and going to replace it with my new a'pexi... now the gasket that goes in between the pipe from the muffler to the catalytic converter fell off when i had to run up to my soccer game.

My question is, is it okay to just install my apexi exhaust without that gasket in there? or will i have any issues? has this happened to any of you guys? thanks :)

It'll be fine, but you're probably gonna have louder unmuffled exhaust noise coming from the opening unless the flanges fit perfectly flush. I know my friend had a tiny hole in his exhaust piping before the resonator, and his car sounded like a riced up Civic when he accelerated.

well, i installed it without the gasket, and i have a major exhaust leak and i dont even get the correct air flow and sound to the end of the exhaust.

so i guess you do need it.

edit: btw thanks blue bomber for responding.
