I am also intrested in this, and i have recently talked to two different car people...one said he could do a system for around $1200 while the other said low quality from $1300 to high quality of $3000...the price differences deal mostly with the tube widths and how fast or slow the air is let out (ride dropped) or air put back in (ride hightened)...a lot of people also call this air suspension air bags and i have heard that it rides great too, and some high end caddies and lexuses have it in the stock rides, not positive though. thanks for the info if someone can add to this or correct me if i am wrong at all, thanks, Tim

Okay here we go. First of all do not get air bags whatever you do. What you want to get is air cylinders (just like hydraulics but uses air to push the inner piston out to raise and lower the car). The reason I say this is I used to have a civic on "bags" about a year ago and it was okay but if you drive it a lot you run the risk of damaging the bags due to various road conditions. There is a member on this board (uncut34) who just got a full air ride kit installed on his celi. But the thing is the front looked awesome but the back sat up higher than stock when the cylinder was completely compressed!!! So we know this guy that works at a custom shop here in St. Louis and he welded new brackets that sat lower than the stock mounts and now it looks phuckin' sweet. So there will be custom work needed. There are various companies out there that are getting into the air cylinder market. You'd probably have the best luck with a hydraulic company. I'd recommend CCE Hydraulics in Louisville, KY or Master Image Customs in CA. Their products are great. All I ask is that you avoid the Hack Shack like the plague (they advertise in Lowrider Euro and some other sport compact magazines and they are also known as E.A.I.) Their business ethic is horrible and usually you don't even get the right stuff when it's delivered to your house. Hope I helped you out.

Look into Blow-Jax. There one of the original Air-cylinder production companies... check out www.gotrockers.com

The guy who owns the shop "The Hole" is a guy named Joe, when I lived in Michigan, he did alot of work for me and my brother in law. He does alot of work for Buely's also...

The truck on the home page (white Tacoma) was my brother-n-law's. It was the first Unibag air-ride system in the world... this guy can do ANYTHING. He's amazing with suspension. Especially on Toyota's. I was gonna let him prototype a kit on my celi before I moved but, he's so backed up with work, he never had the time. He quoted me a price of $1800.00 for a complete Blow-Jax system, with custom welds. 1" tubing and of course, all electric Valves. This system has all the functionality of hydros, without the risk of hydrolic fluid... check him out.

This is the Truck that my brother-in-law and I built...

Full Air-ride suspension. Fast-bag setup with Unibag in rear. Suicide doors, shaved EVERYTHING... Tailgate, side mirrors, wipers, antenae, door handles, gas tank lid, windshield solvent squirter's... if you could shave it, we did. Full custom Tweed/leather interior, custom hand-made hood. 3 1/2" body drop. Custom, 3-layer White Pearl paintjob... original at the time.

This truck took home over 12 1st place trophies throughout the Midwest. has appeared in Mini-Truckin magazine numerous times, as well as graced the cover of Gauge-magazine, an online custom truck mag. Has been in Street-scene, Truckin, and Street-rods magazines.

For those who enjoy trucks... you may now drool :D

Well recently called Ricky Racer who carries BlowJax. They can **** me a full system to my front door for 1100. They said the cylinders are smaller for the back so it will slam.

what size where the cyclinders on that set. cuase most cyclinder only come in 3 or 4 inch cyclinders i we had the small ones put on the back. canster was too high. i looked for smaller back cyclinder around and did not see them. carbonblue02 that is a good price. i personly dont like Ricky Racer becuase the use the tanks with the compressers mounted on top. and have my compresser hidden. witch also lowers compresser noise. then what if you compresser goes bad you would have to buy a whole compresser tank combo. if the some how do come off now that would make there product a lot better. but that is a good price shipped and everthing.

this past weekend i was at a shop getting my springs done and an is 300 pulled up and parked. now when the ride parked i swore that thing was about to bust a transformer move because it settled in the first and then in the back. it looked so sweeeeet. the car had dropped to the floor, kinda how the truck above is sitting. the air suspension would defintely be something to consider as a future mod. i will enjoy my springs for now :)

Another company I forgot to mention is Showtime Hydraulics. They also sell a variety of air ride components.
