Hey you know when you take your car to Toyota or any machanic and for most new cars, as well as ours, they just plug in this little computer and it tells them what is wrong, right? I think it is called a OBD something, I dont know. I was thinking, if you could buy this you could check out what your engine is doing, or doing wrong, before you take it to Toyota. If it is small, and you can do it yourself, then you would save yourself a lot of BS and time. If you see something big is wrong, with a lot of little things, like " " K&N filter" " problem (yea right) you could delete it so Toyota can give you any BS about warrenty. So can you buy one? Can you even find one? Thanks

I think you can get those OBD computers from snap on tools or any of those tool companies. It comes with a book with all the codes that all manufactuers. Don't know on the cost though. But you can use it to reset your computer OBD readings. I'm pretty damn sure that there is no "K&N code".

I don't think Snap-On or Craftsman makes OBD scanners.

You can buy an OBD scanner here: http://www.autotap.com/orderinfo.html

More info on what OBD-II is: http://www.obdii.com

Thanks for the info guys.
Oh, I'd just like to say, "Hell no!" I would rather put up with a little BS than to pay $500 for the OBD. It would be nice to have, but not $500 nice.

It's only $289 + $40 for the code book. You don't need the $489 one unless you're gonna be pulling codes off of domestics.
