i would go 1500 to be safe...but i dont think you will feel any difference after the break in period you just want to put some time and miles on your motor before you run it hard....you will know when you have that many miles...hope this helps kyle

nah, you wont have to sell your car. Its just a suggested thing, its not like your car is defective because you didnt do a proper break in. From what I understand it is for better engine longevity. So if there's any problems it is after several thousands of miles, like probably up in the 100s. Just sell it when you get tired of it and have someone else deal with any problems that will come of it.

but damn, chicago to detroit. I remember I had that flight and it musta been an hour and a half. Musta been a diesel drive.

After i took the car out the dealer lot, i was on the freeway doing 90 at one point.

i dont think going 90 would hurt anything...it think its just that you dont want to bring your rpm's up high and redline it at all....just my .02 cents

what does it matter anyway? people will either wreck the car or sell it before its engine fails prematurely from improper break in.:)

Actually you dont want to keep your car at a set speed during break in. Acoid cruise control etc....

Also just to be safe, I didn't really push mine till first oil change 3,000 mi.
