i knew my throttle cable was tightened. it sometimes idles a little higher, and goes a bit faster when it's just rolling forward (especially started up cold).

i pulled into a friend's house...put it into park. and it idles jumps to almost 2000 rpm! wtf! i thought the throttle was stuck or something, but the pedal was fine. i gave it a rev or two and it still stayed at 2000...so i put it into reverse, and it jumped back down to sub-1000, and then back to park and it idled properly at 700-900rpm...

i couldn't duplicate it after that. except i noticed sometimes slowing to a stop, when i came to a stop in 1st, the rpms would be at almost 1000 (higher than it should be).

so is this the transmission (PLEASE GOD NO) or the throttle cable acting up? is the latter even possible?

car drives fine otherwise.

same problem.

Loosen the throttle cable.
It's too tight.

Besides having it tightened makes your car jerky and only gives u an allusion of more power but does not do jack!
