Got my car dynoed yesterday and my baseline with injen and Evo only got 140 hp and 100 torque to the wheels. Argh is this too low or is it normal for the slushbox? Thanks

you lose a lot in being an auto gts compared to a 6 speed

That's really impressive. Most auto GTSs dyno in the 130 hp neighborhood.

I also dyoned at 151 FWHP with my auto GTS, on 18s ( not that 18s make too much difference)

Thats all true but the main problem is launching! You are not gonna win if you cant launch your car, period! This is why im gettin a new car at the end of the year.

cool thanks guys. Just wondering why my baseline was so low. By the way it was a 3rd gear pull, so I was wondering if that could be the culprit. I like to race, but that isnt everything my baby is a cruiser anyways. I can launch with my nitrous anyways, but i think that will kill something in the long run so I dont do that much.

yeah, you shuold dyno in 3rd, 4th is too tall, 2nd is too short.

and 140 is normal...so is 150....and so is 130. i guess 120-130 for stock, 140-150 for bolt-ons.

silverbullet's right if you wanna drag race seriously on street or the track, the launch is everything.
