This evening I was travelling down Irvine Center Dr. towards the Spectrum minding my own business. I pass up two rice rockets one behind the other, a black '99 (looked at the license plates to guess the year) unbadged Civic with a fart-tip and a large spoiler and a white Integra with Type-R stickers, also with a fart tip. I was going about 65 when I passed them (ok, so I was 10 over). I guess their egos took a beating because they both sped up. Anyway, this is a 3-lane road, so at the next light (Discovery, for those who give a damn) all 3 of us ended up in a line. Light turned green and I got a jump on both of them...the Civic was 1-2 car lengths behind and the Integra was about 1/2 - 1 car length. Same story at Barranca, then at Pacifica. I played it cool after that because we ended up in traffic. When it eased up (after crossing over the 405) the Civic first did the fly-by, then the Integra second, almost broadsiding me in the process as he passed from the right. I was going about 60-65; they had to be doing 80-90. It was safe to assume the Civic was also an auto...not sure about the Integra.
The Integra looked like a perfect candidate for Ricecop.com (http://www.ricecop.com)...
If that weren't bad enough, some idiot in a 2001 Mercedes C-class pulled a ricer fly-by tactic from my right on Mac Arthur as it went from 3 to 2 lanes, forcing me to brake hard...and I never saw the dude sneak up from behind. He was going at least 100.
