So, sometimes... when it is really cold out (I think thats the only time it happens) I will be starting out in 1st gear, there is a moment when the car feels VERY slugish... it almost feels like the car is trying to take off in 3rd gear... Does this sound like something that happens to anyone else...?

Whats the dilly?

Do you have an intake or the stock airbox?
Some people including myself have noticed that the engine bogs down when it's cold.

I had the exact same problem! Even though the manual only recommends using 91 octane gas try using a minumum of 92+ octane instead, it cured my cars hesitation completely. Some ppl have also mentioned that cleaning the MAF sensor may help. I tried that as well but it didn't seem to do much for me. It would probably be more effective with higher mileage cars as dirt/grime builds up on the sensor over time.
