wash the car regularly, dry it well. And then take about 2 hours to wax your car twice everywhere. Many people recommend zaino, but i've been using zymol cleaner wax, and it does a damn good job, you can buy it pep boys, and its $13. instructions for waxing is on the bottle. You should always wax your car every 2 or 3 months. i do it every month, and whenever its just light rain out, its like i went to a car wash. And whenever i wash my car, the water beads alot everywhere. Wax your car.

Step 1:
Find out what you are doing that is causing you to get these swirl marks and stop doing it.

Step 2:
Get a polish compound and buff the paint untill you cannot see the swirl marks any more. Depending on how bad the marks are, you may just want to take your car into a professional detailer and ask them to buff the scratches out. Deep swirl marks will take a lot of elbow grease to get out by hand and a pro and do it in minutes with a high speed orbital buffer. But if you want to save money you can do it yourself by hand, it might take all day though...

Step 3:
Apply a coat of wax to your paint so your car will again have protection from the elements. I use zaino and if you are a car finish freak like me, so should you. If you are a "normal" person who doesn't obsess about how shiney their paint is, I would reccomend Meguires Gold Class liquid wax.

Step 4:
step back and amire how great your car looks ;)

Another vote for Zaino! :D

Zaino has a scratch remover polish. Couple that with Zaino ZFX (lets you apply 3 coats in one day w/ extremely fast drying and curing time), and you should be able to remove most of the light scratches in a weekend.
