View Full Version : TRD Supercharge
Ok i might be crazy but i remember about 2 months ago someone posting on this board about TRD coming up with a supercharger for the celica GT.
Now my question is, is this true is TRD going to come out with a supercharger or no? and if so when?

Unless you believe any joe-shmoe on the internet who says there is an s/c but has no real proof, you are mistaken. Check this RECENT thread from the FIRST PAGE of the Performance Mods section of the board. Especially note what David Draper says: http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6888
in the sport compac car there is a small article about a is 300 pace car that has a trd supercharger prototype on it with an intercooler. it seems like they're testing it out first, but i would think that it won't be coming out till the end of the year or something...

Give them two years.
The additional year is for tuning the EBC.

What issue and what page?
i believe it's the feb issue. it's the issue that debuts the 10 cars selected for their challenge (which includes a hyundai automatic). i can't remember the exact page number but it's in the beginning part of the magazine where it discusses rumors and lies about various companies, on the upper left corner on a left page. it's a yellow IS 300 pace car.

I talked to a rep today at TRD USA (I forgot his name), and he said that they will DEFINITELY NOT make a supercharger for the Celica. I wish I had some connections high up the food chain, but unfortunately, that's the best info I can get for now.
