Hi everyone, yeah this weekend is the worst weekend in the celica yet. I was on a dark road and about to go onto the freeway but instead I went straight into a field. There was no sign or anything that told me where the freeway was and stuff and it looked like the road was going straight. It was really dark and there wasn't any sign posted that sayed "END OF ROAD" so I went straight and landed in a field. The field has like mini ditch in between the rows so I was getting some air going up and down and up and down. I was going about 70 mph and I couldn't stop in time cause I was already in the dirt and couldn't stop so the dirt took most of the speed out of the car. Well after I stopped, I was about 100 feet from the road. As I was walking back to the road, I saw the freaken sign on the ground that sayed END OF ROAD...about 20 feet from the road so I assumed another person did the exact thing I did and run over the sign. the owner didn't bother to put back the freaken sign. Well while I was standing there, a truck was coming fast toward me and was about to do the same thing I did but I had a flashlight so I was flashing him to stop and he barely stopped in time, if I wasn't there with the flashlight he would be in the field also. You think I can sue someone for this, the city perhaps? I don't know I need to notify someone so they can fix the problem so no one else goes thru this. Sorry for the long story but thats what happen.
After pulling my car out, there wasn't too much damaged, lucky I wasn't lowered or else it would be major. The only thing that was damaged was the lower part of the front bumper, how much do you think this will cost?? And also most if not all the plastic on the bottom of the car is gone, it was whipped apart during the impact of the dirt, how much and where can I get a replacement? ASAP. Also the right wheel well is gone completely, need to get that replace but the left one was still on which was kewl cause thats where the intake is.
Another thing I notice is that my belt are making noise? It is sort of wobbling which makes me nerves, what do you think happened there?? I can't see anything wrong with it cause it was behind the radiator and a bunch of stuff to get bented but I don't know. after the accident, i drove 45 miles to go home and everything was fine, no overheating, no aligment problem, or anything, my engine seem to be fine, vvtl-i still works and stuff.
So what can I do about the belt? I can have toyota fixed it and tell them that it suddenly started making noise and have them fixed it under warranty cause of the TSB for the belt tensioner. I don' tknow or I can buy a aftermarket pully system. What do you guys think? Can I drive the car even if the belt is wobbling?? everything seem to be fine like power steering and stuff.
