i just wanted to say welcome to the new forum.. right now we are only on a DSL.. it will be switching to a T3 in the matter of a few days.. let me know if you have any problems or suggestions for this new forum :)

Looks great! I like the new no brainer options. ;) And the speed...

The only thing I've noticed so far is that it doesn't remember your preferences from post to post. I have to click off the e-mail notification box each time - is there a way to change that so I don't have to do that everytime?

post counts are gone for this reason... when I moved the site i prune it back 5 days which means most of the posts on the site were deleted..approx 30,000.. and when i did the conversion from UBB to VBulletin it actually recalculated users post counts on what is currently posted.. so your current post count right now is whatever is actually on this forum.. sorry peeps.. nothing I can do about that..

email notification.. i just turned it off as the generic default to always be on.. thats annoying as all hell ;).. so that should take care of that.. it wont default to on anymore..

Not a tech guy myself. I really don't know what's the speed difference is suppose to be between DSL and T3, but damn, this is definitely an improvement! The site runs much much faster than before!!! :D

i just wanna tell everyone ahead of time.. tomorrow the site is gonna be dog slow most likely.. when monday morning comes this site will be hit hard with traffic.. thats when most people are on the forum.. so I dont know if the DSL will handle it.. but sometime Monday it will go onto the T3.. so that will fix it..

also one other thing.. as for the time.. dont know if u noticed its off by an hour. the server clock is incorrect and were gonna fix that tomorrow as well :)

well the new format is almost identical to the old format.. I tried to make it that way.. post counts are screwed..i already explained that.. did fix the amount of posts per page though.. now there are 50 posts per page instead of 15..:)

also later Im gonna work on adding more smilies :)

haha, as soon as i was about to post that you increase the amount of posts per page, i reload and it's already done :p

There are tons of options now, including how many posts on a page you want to see.

i like show sig as default.. i think you can change that in your personal options..

as for the time zone.. that can be changed.. the board is set at GMT-5, you set your own time zone in user cp top right corner :)

Why don't you make it like the front page, where it changes pictures for every visit. I know there was alot of header picture when you post up for one.

this is kind off topic, what software did you use to create those button(quote,edit, etc...)

as for making the top banner change with every site load.. i dont wanna do that.. the more javascript like that the slower the site runs.. so I dont need to be doing that..

the buttons that you see for post, quote and reply all come with this software as standard..

im not changing anyones post count.. theres more to life then your post count.. seriously..ill let you all know I have the ability to do it, but if I did it for one person then I would have to do it for everyone..sorry peepz.. but I dont have the time to change 5000+ post counts :)

Great job moving the site. The increase in speed is HUGE! I am sure it took a ton of time and effort to do this, so thank you!

Everything looks like it is working A-OK, and the new features are cool. With a T-3 (peeps, this is like having a bunch of T-1's) the site will cruise along like it should. I assume you are using a fractional T3? Whatever bandwidth you have allocated should be more than enough.

you can download the software from www.vbulletin.com

what i did
turn off old board
copy everything from server to harddrive with FTP
copy everything from harddrive to new server with FTP
run conversion from UBB to VBulletin
setup/config VBulletin

perty easy, just time consuming :)

and yes my post count was like 300.. i changed it back to what it was supposed to be cuz Im cool like that..
