The unimaginable happened last night!!!!

:mad: :mad: :mad: MY CAR GOT BROKEN INTO!!!!!!!!!, I was leaving the movies with my wife and my sister in law and as we were walking to our cars, I see a cop race towards the theater....then I turn to my car and I see the driver's window gone! shattered!, I flipped!!!!!! these f*ckers threw a rock through my window and tried to take my gauge pod but couldnt but they broke it....nothing taken....really nothing to be taken, I dont have a system, so the most they could've taken was my CD's and thats about it......but this sucks!!!!!!! cops came, they had seen the car with the window shattered and they were racing back to the theater to find me.....the movie was over at 9pm, did not leave the theater until 10:30pm after talking to the cops and the insurance company....Im getting the car inspected on monday......good thing is that security at the theater got some "info" on who did it, but I'm gonna leave it at that.....:mad:

n e ways, my car will be out of commission for probably a week or so, the damage is: the driver's window, some small scratches on the outside of the door, both of my driver and passenger inside door panels with some scratches and my gauge pod.........all with a $500 deductible!!!!!!!!! it was bound to happen........DAMN!!!!! sorry for the long post but just wanted to vent and let everyone know to be careful out there......

I feel your pain. My old car was broken into and the only thing they took was a pack of gum. I had an aftermarket stereo and a trunk full of shopping I had done, and they take a god damn pack of gum. But worse then that, you feel violated. After all, someone you don't know, was in your car. :mad:

My friend from work is funny. He's always like hey, why bother locking your car. If they see something they want, they will break the window and take it anyway. Then you got a **** load of broken glass in your car which is a nightmare to get rid of because you will find it everywhere for months even when you think it's all gone.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe a little investment in an alarm. Pisses me off when I get back to the car and the beeps tell me it was going off. But at least it wasn't broken into.

But see nobody gives a damn about an alarm going off, my factory alarm went off with the lights and the horn and the whole 9 yards, did anyone do anything? nah, only security.....well I guess the alarm kinda worked....but regardless, alarm or not, if someone wants to break into your car they'll do it. Bottom line is that this may be the end of mods for my celi, one cuz I need the money and two cuz I dont wanna attract any more attention to it.....
On the +side, I went to the insurance co. yesterday and the estimate came to $2k, $1500 to me $500 deductible, the damn supervisor did not want to cover my passenger side door panel rock scuff, because he said it could have been caused by a shoe....I almost told him to go f*ck himself, but after like 5 minutes of me being stubborn with him, all he said was "well I cant prove it was not the rock, so we'll give it to ya" damn right, I've paid over 10k in the past 3 years for insurance, they better give me what i want......so now gotta go to Toyota to get the window, and the panels...........:D

Dude, that sucks!!! At least they didn't drive off in your car. Or put your car up on blocks. A guy I know at work drives a jag. And one day he walks out and sees his car in the same spot he parked in but completely up on blocks....:mad:

I know it's mean, but I can't help but laugh at the site of a Type-S sitting up on concrete blocks. :D

Sorry, didn't know you had an alarm. But I guess the only the alarm that works is that one from the Bond films. The kind that blows up when you break the window. No car you say. You can blame it on the alarm and no biggie. Then the insurance will cover that and another new car. J/K :D

I know exactly where that is. I never go there. There's always something going on there like fights, break ins, shootings, etc.

well I dont know about shootings........:D although there was that murder back in like 95-96....but we wont get into that.

It looks like I'll get the car fixed this week or early next week, and I got some "security measures" that I will add to my car....but that's under wraps :D :D

Same thing happened to me at the same theater on the 6 of Jan after watching the Lord of the rings.

Yes they took my guage Pod plus the Pivot Tach and 2 Apexi el guages so don't feel bad.

By the way insurance covered everything.
