C.F. hood

Hey guys, had fun at your meet. You are worthy of your cars. I'm in if you'll have me:rolleyes: My next project after my wheels is a C.F. hood. I want one with the larger hood scoop like Cody's. Help me figure out how I can get one!! I've been looking and still have found no one who thinks it is worth it to make one. There must be a company that has what I seek. If you guys have any contacts or leads for me, hook me up!:D I will get the standard hood if I have to but I want to try to find this first. Any one got MSN messenger? You would have to get the carbon fiber hood and then replace the hood scoop with the other hood scoop. But its not raised as much as Cody's is.

I know where he got the hood scoop now, it's just like Cody's, same company but in carbon fiber. I could get one for 160 but I don't know how I'd attach it. Most companies lay the carbon fiber in a mold of the stock hood(with the stock hood scoop) and it is all on piece. You would have to cut the old scoop off and attach the new one, messy. Or you would need a mold made of a hood with the upgraded scoop and have it laid that way, expensive. There might be a place that can help me but i don't know. Milkshake says his hood came from "sunny styles" and the scoop from MB autosport. I wonder if the hood had a scoop that was attached via screws or if he had to cut the old one off. I did a search and found nothing for sunny styles. The hunt continues.....Rox

Bingo, the bottom one is milkshake i think. That is the hood I want.:cool: There has to be a place that can do it for me. I don't want to cut a hood, and I don't want to pay 800 for it. There MUST be a way. Rox

The one you are looking for is made by MB autosports I was looking at it too. it is 175 but they are back ordered for a long time last I heard. You may be able to save some money if you hold off for a little while Duncan is working on making one I am not sure what his design is going to be but I have seen some of his carbon fiber work and he does a good job I will probably buy one from him when he is done with it. By the way it was great meeting you and we will except you into our club. Does anyone have any ideas for our next meet? Does any one have Yahoo instant messenger it is a lot better than Aol IM I have never used MSN's but Im sure its better then that one too it works great, I am markjsimm on Yahoo Instant messenger if anyone has it or downloads it.

haha! first i just noticed your new line in your sig barry, very nice :). i need to put something new in mine too. next, not sure where to find the hood and scoop other than mbautosport like everyone else mentioned, but hopefully they'll have everything you're looking for. also, it was good meeting you the other night, and welcome to our club. not sure where the next meet should be, i had so much fun at andretti that i wouldn't mind going back there sometime. i also wanna enter in the next show they have at U.S. play so let us know when that comes around mark (even though it might be a while since you said they don't do it during winter). i don't have msn or yahoo, but i do have AIM so if anyone ever wants to say hi on there i'm codyGTS.

That was fun at Andretti I need to find out when the next time they have a drift competition that was really cool to watch, I was just talking with the guy who works in the shop next me, He has a S2000 and a nissan 300Z along with a bunch of other cars, I told him about the drift contest and he told me that next time they have one he is going to bring his S2000 and run it, I can't wait to see it.
