Welcome to the 4G63T world, I think you'll be quite pleased with the performance they're capable of...esp. from coming from a gt-s and an s2k..good decision.

where you been at, foo?

bought the Talon over spring break..picking it up April 5th from the previous owner.

all the info on it is in my sig.

the mustang is currently having parts taken off and sold. then the mustang will be put up for sale.

i wanted to save money, dumping more into a newer car wasn't the route to go right now, plus i get a sports car again.

the STi will nevar beat the 4g63T

damn nice car pluto, you have very nice taste in cars, :) i saw the evo 8 last weekend in person and man it looks awesome especially in black, :D i however didn't like the look of the inside and the gauge but everything else is very nice. I don't know about the 38k asking price, the most I would pay for that car is 30k. Enjoy your ride and get some videos of that sucker floored, :) take it easy.

ive been out of the loop.. but yea.. it looks good.. though that 14b is good.. i would still get a bigger one ;)..

ill be amazed once they have an extensive list like dsmtimes.org and thats not including all the other fast unlisted times around the US.. and not including EVO stuff.. have u seen people calling out vishnu and their shop and clownin on them and their subarus over @ dsmtuners.. its crazy.. the hardcore dsmtuners are no joke.. they bring it.. they only come out to play when they need to it seems.. other than that.. they let the regulars with the typical 13sec dsms do the talking.. heh..

good luck on ur car.. im actually selling my 98 gst :(

i find it very hard to believe that shiv only got 180 at the wheel's, but only time will tell.

yea.. the inside sucks.. nothing really compares to the celica gts interior for the price.. the 7th gen celica has one of the best interiors out there.. esp from a low 20k car.. the evo interior is plain.. the seats are nice however.. but then again.. the EVO 8 is a performance car and looks is the least things on their mind. esp knowing tuners will be busy modifying whats under the hood then wats inside the car.. but for the markup price.. i'd expect more.. but i agree.. in person IT LOOKS FUGKIN GREAT!.. and i was just staring at the motor for hella long.. the stock 16g turbo is huge compared to the tiny t25 found in the 2g gst/gsx.. <-- thats the biggest reason they are slow from the factory.. surprinsgly @ fresno the markup wasnt that high.. it was listed at like 32k or something.. 40k is overpriced yea.. but look at the other cars that are 40k that the EVO will stomp on.. but for 40k. u could buy one hell of a 2G GSX and have extra cash to buy a daily driver while its down half of the time :)

yea it is.. i kinda feel bad for shiv.. esp since he hosted a DSM meet over @ vishnu not htat long ago.. then have a bunch of peeps bash him.. although.. i think their dyno does read low numbers.. we had someone there with a basically STOCK 1g talon tsi awd that dynoed at 150-ish.. (stock 14b turbo).. and then another 1g gsx with a mutt turbo (thing is huge) and it dynoed 150-ish.. i know its tuning.. but damn.. the guy beats v8s left and right.. its really no biggy to most people what the EVO dynos @ in the dsm crowd.. cause we all know what it's capable of, what it has already proven, and what the 4G63T can do.. but IMO i think it just got heated because of all the criticism.. im sure the guys @ the Subaru side got a huge kick out of shiv's low dyno #s of the EVO.. but i wouldnt know since i dont step in ur territory.. but i come in peace :)

Hmm i got my hks Type 1 Turbo Timer on the way hmm think i might get some basic mods like a downpipe and exhaust hmm i got a hks BOV here but i am not sure if it will work for this application sence it was ment for the s2000 hmmm... Maybe a boost controller some guages etc

which hks bov do u have? ssqv (super sequential).. good bov.. but if the evos are like the dsms.. the bov will have to be recirculated.. and all bovs should work.. its just the flange what matters.. ur stock ic pipe wont be flanged for an hks bov.. thats the only way to distinguish if it was meant for this car or not blah blah blah.. im pretty sure if u can get a flange to fit that bov into ur ic pipe it should work.. and of course my friend.. ebc, gauges, turbo timer.. a must for turbo tuners..

Agreed. EVO's will have that I'm sure though, Buschur was talking about how much beefier the transmissions in them looked than what the DSM's had too.

yea the 14b is too small, it spools very quickly and is great for around town, but my ultimate plan is for a ported/clipped big 16g to be in there with some HKS 264 cams, 550's and a walbro 255.

why are you selling the GS-T?

lol.. say that to the many people who have been purchasing the different gen EVOs for years in other countries.. you must be stuck or confused with the DSM problems you hear about.. which were built here in the US..

pluto.. that hks bov should work.. just find out if you can vent to the atmosphere.. if its similar to have the 4G63 is setup in the gsts and gsxs using a MAS then i dont think u can.. well u could but u'd be running rich.. but regardless.. u can hook it up.. u just have to find a way to flange it up to hook up to the stock pipe.. even harder if its a plastic one.. then u have to upgrade to hardpipe already.. didnt really get a good look on how its setup..

Hmm i think i found the flange for like 50 bucks hmmm i think it is hardpipe not plastic The car runs great people down these cars but hey look at larrys with a few thoaunds dollars and some bolt on's you can be running in the mid 12's and for some more money u can get down 2 10's and lower lol

One of my friend recently bought a yellow Evo, and I had a chance to drive it around last night, all I can say is OMG, this thing has so much ballllllls, I didn't even try to push it or anything since it's not my car and it's brand new, I gas it up to 3500rpm from 1st to 3rd, once the turbo spool at around 3k, I can feel it start to push like a mofo, nothing compare from the WRX, holy sh!t I can't imagine what will happen if I floor the f@#ker!! Very nice ride. As for the interior, I love it, plain and simple, dash is very clean, the radio sucks tho :( suspension is VERY stiff, you don't even think it's a stock suspension, HID is cool, clutch is pretty stiff too, which is good, much smoother gear box compare to the WRX.

to think this is only a base model evo.. Mitsu should bring out their special edition EVOs here.. people swear theres no other trims :) @ least in other countries..

Is it just me that thinks that a stock EV08 running 19psi is a bit to high. I like the EVO8, almost bought one last saturday.

I'll wait for the STi. Anybody know how much PSi the 2.5l STi gonna run? Plus i like the idea of having 6gears to play with. If the difference between EVO8 and STi is 2g's id take the STi, if not ill join the 4G63T club.
